Alawi Foundation is a U.S. nonprofit organization identified by EIN 42-2318635. We are committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities and continually improving the experience for everyone.

1. Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. Alawifoundation.co is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA: some content does not yet fully meet every criterion, but we are actively working on it.

2. What we have done

• Semantic HTML and consistent landmarks for screen reader users.
• Keyboard navigation across contribution flows, support pages, and forms.
• Color contrast ratios that meet or exceed WCAG AA across body text, headings, and interactive elements.
• Alt text on all meaningful images; decorative images are marked as such.
• Visible focus indicators on links, buttons, and form fields.
• Form fields with explicit labels and error messages tied to the inputs they describe.
• Responsive design that adapts to small screens and zoom up to 200%.

3. Limitations and feedback

Despite our efforts, you may encounter accessibility issues. Some images on older support pages may not yet have full alt text, and hosted checkout interfaces are outside our direct control. We monitor these gaps and work to close them.

5. Compatibility

Alawifoundation.co is designed to be compatible with the latest two versions of major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) and assistive technologies such as VoiceOver, NVDA, JAWS, and TalkBack.

6. Continuous improvement

Accessibility is part of our development process. We conduct internal audits, integrate accessibility testing into our release checks, and welcome external reviews. This statement will be updated as we make progress.

7. Formal complaints

We aim to address every accessibility concern raised. If you believe your concern has not been adequately addressed, you may file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Justice or the relevant authority in your jurisdiction.
